Pins: Round needles 3 and 4 (60 cm) and stocking needles 3 and 4.
Knitting strength: 22 sts 30 pi smooth on needle size 4 = 10 x 10 cm. If the knitting strength does not fit, try with finer or coarser sticks.
Note: The sweater is knitted from below.
Bul: Cast on 118 (132) 140 (152) 160 with RS 3 on circular needle size 3 mm. Knit rib, K1, K1. After 2 rounds change to RS 1. Knit straight, until piece measures 3 (4) 4 (5) 5 cm. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and stockinette st until piece measures 17 (19) 22 (25) 28 cm. Insert an auxiliary thread in each side of piece. On next round close 3 (3) 4 (4) 4 sts on each side of the auxiliary threads (= 106 (120) 124 (136) 144 sts). Let the piece rest.
Sleeve: Cast on 40 (40) 42 (44) 46 sts with RS 3 on double pointed needles size 3 mm. Knit rib as bul. Change to stocking sticks # 4 and stockinette st. On the 4th round take 1 st at the beginning and end of the round. Repeat this on every 4th row to 52 (54) 56 (58) 58 sts. Knit straight up until piece measures 16 (18) 21 (24) 27 cm.
