刚落地的新加坡小学花园
这是我们最近刚落地的学校花园项目。我们将花园设计成一个能鼓励有社交障碍的学生可以无顾虑与自然进行被动和主动互动的地方。
设计目的:
-一个户外绿色环境,帮助学生在没有威胁的环境中表达自己的感受和情绪
-一个让学生参与以自然为基础的活动平台,从而鼓励社会互动,消除孤独感和社会孤立感,尤其是着重于那些有社交障碍的人
植物根据其感官品质被划分为不同的区域。我们利用了原学校院子里搁置一旁的砖砌置了一个香草螺旋形的花坛,种植了罗勒、猫须、艾蒿和杜松子等常见的香草和香料。我们也设计了“休息”草坪让逛累的学生休息。我们相信大自然是最好的老师,并通过创造一个以疗愈和教育的特定用户绿色空间,我们可以鼓励学生和教师的积极发展。
在下一阶段,我们将与学生合作,为花园创建几个解释性和互动性的标志。我们还将进行游园评估,以确定花园是否得到充分利用。
Latest completed primary school garden in Singapore
Here’s a preview of our latest school garden project. The garden was designed as a place to support students with socio-emotional challenges with passive and active interactions with nature.
Design objectives:
- An outdoor, green environment to help students build confidence in expressing their feelings and emotions in a non-threatening setting
- A platform for students to engage in nature-based activities, thus encouraging social interaction, counteract feelings of loneliness and social isolation, especially for those with socio-emotional issues
Plants are curate into different zones based on their sensory qualities. Using interlocking brick pavers salvaged from the school’s courtyard, we created an herb spiral where familiar herbs and spices such as Basil, Cat’s Whiskers, Mugwort and Tumeric were grown. We also allocated a “break out” lawn area for students who need a sensory break. We believe that nature is the best teacher, and by creating a user specific green space for restoration and education, we can encourage positive development in students and teachers alike.
For the next phase, we will work with the students to create several interpretive and interactive signs for the garden. We will also conduct a post occupancy evaluation and to determine if the garden is well used.
