挪威五人乐队#SERENA MANEESH#,2010年于#4AD#发行第二张专辑《S M No.2:ABYSS IN B MINOR》(2号作品,深渊 B小调)。开篇第一首「Ayisha Abyss」即为点题之作,7分多钟的作品,据说是在奥斯陆郊外的一个山洞中录制。音乐理念是在一个有限的空间里面追求无限的声音实验,并刻意把所有的声效压制在一个扁平的音域内,营造一种混沌而复杂却又急速流动的状态。包括男女声部、两把吉他、贝斯、合成器还有各种敲击声响。

The demigod Pan, part man and part goat, grasps the beard and right rear knee of a reclining she-goat and penetrates her. The pair is arranged more like humans than animals, copulating face-to-face rather than from behind. Modern commentators have viewed their coupling as alternatively comic, tender, or brutal. The sculpture was likely based on an earlier prototype that continued to be adapted after this example was buried by Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, for the composition also appears on later Roman sarcophagi.

Given the many inconveniences in measuring time by the flow of water, water-driven mechanical timepieces were invented. In 117 AD , Zhang Heng in the Eastern Han Dynasty built the water-driven celestial globe which possessed basic functions as a mechanical clock. Instruments equipped with timekeeping devices were invented in the following dynasties, and among them, the water-driven celestial observatory created by Su Song in the Song Dynasty pushed the development of mechanical timekeepers to a new height. Its timekeeping component incorporated clock jacks to sound the quarters and hours by beating drums and ringing bells respectively. 单纯利用水的流动来计时有许多不便,人们逐渐发明了利用水做动力,以驱动机械结构来计时。公元117年,东汉的张衡制造了大型天文计时仪器——水运浑天仪(the water-driven celestial globe),初步具备了机械性计时器的作用。随后历代都相继制作了附设有计时装置的仪器,其中宋代苏颂制造的水运仪象台(the water-driven celestial observatory),把机械计时装置的发展推到了一个新的高峰,水运仪象台的计时机械部分可以按时刻使木偶出来击鼓报刻,摇铃报时。
