Under an argon atmosphere, the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction of iodobenzene and phenylboronic acid gave biphenyl. In the reaction of iodobenzene with phenylboronic acid and CO2, the catalyst was recovered and reused four times without significant loss of its catalytic activity.
