Xu Ting and Dai Lihong are two representative inheritors of Jinxi woodblock printing, a traditional craft inscribed in Jiangxi's intangible heritage list that has been perfected by generations of local craftsmen. From the traditional carving techniques to the printing of woodblocks, Xu and Dai have worked for decades to keep the tradition alive and preserve it for future generations. The candy got its name from the fact that its sugar strings look as thin as the silk of lotus, although it is mainly made of malt sugar, roasted soybean flour and sesame. It is known for its sweetness, crispness, with a beautiful appearance and smooth taste.
