They were Chiang Mei Kuen and Wong Pei Yee. It was the first time they carried out services on the plane after completing their pre-flight training.
"I have ancestral roots in Guangdong. My ancestors settled in Malaysia during Zheng He's voyages. I can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and English when communicating with passengers!" said Chiang Mei Kuen.
According to China Southern Airlines, over 20 foreign flight attendants from Malaysia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea would work for the company during the Spring Festival travel rush.
After more than two months of training, they joined to support the Spring Festival travel rush. Since 2023, more foreign passengers have been flying with China Southern Airlines. These foreign flight attendants provide friendly and meticulous services to domestic and international passengers.
China Southern Airlines has also launched a series of new services during this year's Spring Festival travel rush. It will provide more considerate services to child passengers, elderly passengers, and first-time travelers during the rush. Also, the airline will organize Lunar New Year-themed activities on nearly 50 specific flights from 18 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, to create a festive atmosphere.

Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm (SOVA) is an enlargement of the aortic root area between the aortic valve annulus and the sinotubular ridge. Although often presenting without symptoms, the aneurysms bear the potential for life-threatening complications, primarily from the looming risk of rupture. This work presents a case of a 42-year-old Malay gentleman with a history of bilateral pedal edema and dyspnea on exertion who was diagnosed with a ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm by echocardiogram and successfully managed surgically.
