辐叶鹅掌柴(学名:Schefflera actinophylla (Endl.) Harms)是五加科、南鹅掌柴属乔木,高5-10米。叶有小叶6-7;叶柄长10-30厘米,无毛;小叶片革质,中央的卵状椭圆形或长圆状椭圆形,两侧的通常为卵状长圆形,先端渐尖,基部阔楔形至近圆形,上面绿色,有光泽,无毛,下面灰绿色;圆锥花序顶生,分枝横生或斜生,长1.5-8厘米;花无梗或近无梗,几十朵聚生成头状花序;果实球形或近球形,有5稜,直径5-6毫米。
原产澳洲及太平洋中的一些小岛屿,中国南部热带地区亦有分布。适生于温暖湿润及通风良好的环境。辐叶鹅掌柴能大量吸附室内尘埃,有效减少室内空气中微小粉尘。是家庭客厅、书房、卧室转角等处的装饰植物。(概述图参考来源:)
