【厉以宁:中国新的人口红利正在产生】Some Chinese economists are expecting the country to maintain stable growth in 2017.
Li Yining, dean emeritus of the Guanghua School of Management at the Peking University, predicted that growth of the world's second largest economy will remain between 6 percent to 7 percent next year.
"Economic growth will remain stable and may accelerate. The economy has picked up a little. But its growth rates have been slowing for years, and that trend cannot change overnight. We need to continue to restructure the economy, support underperforming industries, and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship next year." said Li Yining.
But the expert, during an economic forum over the weekend, also cautioned against potential external risks amid growing world economic uncertainty.
