Livi
This close call prompted my parents to make a firm decision.
My parents stayed awake, taking turns keeping an eye on the roof.
We hire a bricklayer every year for repairs, but it's a never-ending cycle.
It wasn't that great, but it sure was the envy of the town.
As worries burdened her mind, strands of white began to weave through my mother's once-dark hair(at the temples).

Waiting is difficult. However, God’s plans for us are always the best. Trust and faith in God even when things don't happen according to your desires or timeline. Sometimes God's answer to our prayers is simply to wait. Hope in God often involves waiting patiently for God's will to unfold.
Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint."
