The AARP Livability Index evaluates seven factors: housing, neighborhood, transportation, environment, health, engagement, and opportunity. The Milken Institute centers its assessment on nine criteria: community engagement, general livability, health care, wellness, financial security, education, transportation and convenience, employment, and living arrangements (P64).
