In this image we can see a fetus without
head, upper limbs and heart.
This severe situation is inevitably incompatible with life and is the result of a syndrome called Twin Arterial Reverse Syndrome (TRAP), which occurs when
you have a monocorionic twin pregnancy (where the same placenta is shared).
Technically, the anomaly is characterized
by the fact that one of the twins doesn't develop and survives thanks to an abnormal vascularization related to the other twin at the placenta level (placenta anastomosis), which therefore has to pump more blood to the pathological sibling (therefore, instead of having the two vascularizations of the independent brothers, these are poorly connected, where the deformed brother survives thanks to the blood he receives from the other brother).
With the risk of heart failure from the
formed twin, we often act by oclosing abnormal vascularization before pregnancy or inducing work premature
birth before loss to save the formed and healthy twin.

Nevus Of Ota And Nevus Of Ito
.
Both nevus of Ota (oculodermal melanocytosis, nevus fuscoceruleus ophthalmomaxillaris) and nevus of Ito (nevus fuscoceruleus acromiodeltoideus) are considered to be benign hamartomatous overgrowths of melanocytes. These two processes are located on the face and upper shoulder, respectively. They share a common pathogenesis and histology with Mongolian spots and are most likely caused by abnormal embryological migration of melanocytes.

Face in a case!
Seen here are 3D printed models of a face. Using photographic data taken from a 3D camera, these models can be printed. It can help guide results and symmetry for facial surgery.
In this particular case, it is used to simulate results of a rhinoplasty. You can see the difference between the before and after. This helps the surgeon achieve the best results in the OR. This can also help the patient visualize what they will look like after the surgery.
The technology can be used in other aspects of plastic surgery, helping to establish patient expectations and guide the surgeon.
