A comparison of samples of titanium alloy (Ti64) created using an AM (Additive Manufacturing) technique known as selective laser sintering (SLS) to traditionally manufactured Ti64 shows that elemental distribution and chemical composition of the AM sample are similar to wrought Ti64 and that There is a clear difference in grain structure between AM Ti64 and wrought Ti64.
