Previously we are like this: this pair of shoes is MINE; it’s none of my business if your feet get spiked or not. Now is the trilogy of cultivating Bodhicitta: equivalence of oneself and others—each of us will have a shoe; exchange between oneself and others—exchange my better shoe to your worse one; self-unimportance—give you the whole pair of shoes because you’re more important and it doesn’t matter to me.—Yin Ruo

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
