In the ocean of life, it is inevitable to ask for help. However, we’d better make every effort to deal with them when we encounter incidents, and if we can’t make it out on our own strength, we can turn to other people for help. Thus on one hand, we avoid being refused when asking for help, or appealing to wrong people for help, bungling our business. On the other hand, we reduce debt of gratitude. At the same time, our own ability will be constantly enhanced and promoted in the process of fighting. So it is said that self-help is better than help from others (God help those who help themselves).

A Dream Within A Dream
by Edgar Allan Poe
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Need of money: Financial issues are a common topic and theme within many fairy tales. This often drives the heroes to their first adversity. In the story, the need for money is the source of Westley’s encounter with the Dread Pirate Roberts and thus the power he soon possesses.
