And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10 ESV)

In this photo series captured by CGTN, a number of Afghan nomads, or locally known as Kuchis, are travelling on the outskirts of Helmand-Kandahar highway. Traditionally, these pastoral nomads in Afghanistan have no fixed home and have been migrating across the country for centuries with their livelihood depending on suitable weather and good pasturage. Due to the impact of droughts and regional conflicts, many Kuchis have chosen to settle – either in rural areas or in cities, while only a small number continue nomadic herding. Poverty as well as lack of access to health and education continue to present challenges to the Kuchis in improving their quality of life. #LifeBeyondTheScars#
