“Theatre, anyway, is such an open community and free. I don’t think there’s been a time when I haven’t been [an ally for the LGBTQ people]. I have to say, though, in my hometown, in my community, I was very aware of bias and bigotry, and couldn’t understand it.
I was raised not to be that way and not to think that way, and it always seemed puzzling to me that the world wasn’t just embracing human beings. But it’s never been something that I stumbled on. It’s just always been innate, thanks I think to the professions that I am in. But also the way I was raised.”
Julie Andrews.

Yagudin skated with a foot numbed by four injections in the past 24 hours of local anesthetics, xylocaine and marcaine, to kill the pain from an injury that occurred in a gym workout five days ago. An MRI exam Monday night revealed the injury to be inflammation of soft tissue and ligaments in the top of his foot.
Competing in the qualifying round with no pain-killers, the 21-year-old Yagudin fell twice and was left muttering, "wow," as his low marks were posted.
"Considering my performance [Tuesday], I could say, `wow,' again," Yagudin said.
He could not feel his foot Tuesday, but Yagudin's feelings poured out in the 2 minutes, 40 seconds of skating as he executed the eight required elements in the short program.
"He wanted to beat himself today," Tarasova said, her cheek streaked by earlier tears. "This was his most greatest performance. Only he could do it."
Yagudin punched the air with both hands after landing the last of four jumps, a triple lutz. After finishing, he clenched his fists so hard, in a mix of joy and emotional fury, that his whole body shook.
"It isn't luck that I won the worlds three times." He said.

I’m not entirely sure, to be honest.
I’m really sorry, but I haven’t got the faintest idea.
I don’t really have a clue what to say.
I’m not the best person to answer that because I’m just not interested in …
I wish I had an intelligent answer to this question, but the honest answer is I have no idea.
